Our new construction department will custom design and install all related duct and equipment to provide your new home with the utmost comfort available.

It is wise to replace your system if it is over 10 years old and you are going to have a substantial repair bill. You can feel comfortable that our replacement specialists will help you make an educated decision whether you are planning ahead or it is an emergency and we will install your new system with care and experience.

Many homes have hot/cold spots. An example of this would be a 2-story having a hard time heating or cooling the upper level. Zoning a house can help solve that problem. A thermostat is placed in different parts of the house. Mechanical dampers open up and allow the airflow to travel to the needed area until that thermostat is satisfied.

We carry furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, air cleaners, humidifiers, carbon monoxide detectors, programmable thermostats and more! If we don't have what you need, we may be able to help you find it. Please give us a call today at (402) 492-8218.

Clean Home Guarantee

Clean Home Guarantee

At Indoor Comfort Heating and Cooling we respect the fact that you are inviting us into your home to service, repair or replace your heating and air conditioning system. Part of respecting your home is to make sure we leave the work area cleaner than it was before we started. We realize having any type of work done in the home is an inconvenience, and that’s why we spend countless hours training our employees how to protect and care for a home while their working. We do not want to compound the inconvenience to the homeowner by tracking in dirt, smudging walls, damaging bushes and landscape, disturbing antiques in attics or leaving a dusty and dirty house.

Whether it’s protecting your floors by wearing shoe covers, covering antiques in an attic, or vacuuming the work area frequently for dust, Indoor Comfort will do whatever it takes to ensure your home is left spotless. In addition, if you are not 100% satisfied with how we left your home we will gladly pay to have it professionally cleaned – and that’s the Indoor Comfort Clean Home Guarantee!

System Design and Installation

System Design and Installation

You are probably thinking – “why all the fuss over a new heating and air conditioning system; our old system worked just fine.”

That’s true. Older, less efficient heating and air conditioning systems were designed to turn on and off as the temperature on the thermostat dictated. Well, with today’s highly advanced systems, homeowners can choose from:

Computerized “Manual J” Load Calculation – This room by room scientific test will determine the right size equipment for your home.

Room by Room Airflow Calculation – This is a scientific measurement of the amount of air coming out of the air vent in each room. This will ensure your new system heats and cools your home evenly.

Air Duct Leakage Calculation – The typical duct system in a home leaks 25-40%. The air duct leakage test identifies where the leaks are located so repairs can be made.

Air Flow Leakage Reduction Guarantee – Get a written guarantee that the duct system will leak less than 10%, or that they will guarantee 75% less air leakage once the new system is installed.

Infiltrometer Blower Door Test – This is a scientific test that measures the level of air leakage in the entire home. Understanding this will help solve high utility bills, unhealthy indoor air, musty odors, excessive dust, humidity issues and hot and cold spots throughout the home.

100% Money Back Guarantee – This is a written money back guarantee that the new system is designed and installed properly based on scientific data.

Geothermal Tax Credits

Geothermal Tax Credits

An exciting new tax credit is now available for home and commercial building owners who install geothermal heating and cooling systems through the Energy Improvement and Extension Act of 2008 (H.R. 1424). H.R. 1424 offers a onetime tax credit of 30% of the total investment for homeowners who install residential ground loop or ground water geothermal heat pumps. A credit of 10% of the total investment is also available (no maximum) for a commercial system installation.
To qualify, the systems must meet or exceed EnergyStar requirements and be installed after December 31, 2007. While units installed in 2008 are subject to a $2,000 cap on the credit, units installed from 2009 through 2016 can take advantage of the full credit. Owners can file for the credit by completing the Renewable Energy Credits subsection on their tax return forms for 2008. For taxpayers that are subject to the Alternative Minimum Tax, they can claim the credit on their taxes for the following year. No proof of purchase will be required; however, in case of an audit, owners are encouraged to keep a detailed invoice of their purchase on file. The contractor who sold and installed the product should list the purchase as a "Geothermal Heat Pump" on the invoice and that it "Exceeds requirements of Energy Star program currently in effect". The tax credit is available through December 31, 2016. Consult your local tax professional for advice on taking advantage of the tax credit, as this announcement is not intended as a recommendation or endorsement of any financial strategy.
